2001 Space Odyssey

I am now up to part three of the 2001 Space Odyssey. In part one it was about moon watcher being influenced by an extra terrestrial type of computer that taught Moon Watcher how to hunt and think better. In part two with Dr. Floyd finding evidence of extra terrestrial life-forms on the moon. Now that I am at part three of the book it has once aging changed settings and characters. The new focal point of the novel is Captain Bowman. He is aboard the space shuttle Discovery and is set on a four year trip to Saturn. He is aboard the ship with five other crew members. Four of which are hibernating until they set orbit around Saturn. The only other person awake is Captain Poole. Bowman and Poole switch captaining the ship every twelve hours to reduce friction and fighting. So far the only significant thing that has occurred it that they encountered and asteroid that would be described just about the same material and color of the object found on the moon by Dr. Floyd. But this one was floating in an asteroid field out in space. They did not think much of it and did a few tests.

That is where I left off. Captain Bowman and Captain Poole have their own little life’s going on aboard the ship. It is a life of basically solitary confinement. They do not have much privacy due to the small ship but they also don’t have anyone to talk to or socialize with. This could make someone of lesser knowledge go insane. But both captains are two of the smartest astronauts and are 100 percent fit for the job. I think that they will have more trouble than expected getting to Saturn. I have a feeling that they will encounter aliens of some sort seeing as they are the first men to travel this far out in space.

2001 Space Odyssey

Where I left off from my last blog I was in part two of the book. Dr. Floyd was set to the moon to inspect a sickness. I thought that is was going to be a legitament sickness. But it was really just a cover up. Scientist on the moon began to excavate a crater on the far side of the moon. Dr. Floyd was to go to the crater and inspect a giant slab of flat black material. Dr. Floyd now has direct evidence of life beyond the human race.
He singles out the Soviet Union because they would have told the US about such things.
I personally was tricked by the government cover up that it was a sickness. They just don’t want the people of earth to figure out about extra terrestrial life forms or evidence pointing towards such things. Dr. Floyd is astounded as he should be. I don’t really know where this book is going to be going next. It doesn’t seem to have a clear path. The only thing that has been held constant too far is that there is an influence from extra terrestrial beings. I will have to read on to find out more.

Part 1- 2001 Space Odyssey

I have just finished part 1 in the novel 2001 Space Odyssey. Part 1 was mainly about how man came to be. It started with Moon Watcher and his tribe struggling for existence. Then a big crystal apeared outside Moon Watchers cave. It taught them how to hunt and become more cordinated. Moon Watchers tribe by the end of part 1 ends up crossing the river that seperated his tribe and the opposing tribe. Moon Watcher crosses this river and kills the opposing tribes leader. Then the book describes how man changes and came to be.
So far i like this book. It is pretty interesting how it starts in the beginning of mans existence. I think the crystal that taught Moon Watcher and his tribe is related to extra terestrial help or the Ancient Alien Theory. That theory is that aliens helped man throughout there existence to help them survive. But this is only a guess. So far i am very pleased by this book.

2001 Space odyssey

I an reading the Novel the 2001 Space Odyssey. So far this book has started with the begginning of man kind. The main character so far is Moon Watcher. He is the leader of his tribe. His tribe is struggling to stay alive and with everyday comes more deaths. But one night Moon Watcher notices a large stone has appearded outside of his cave. He has no idea what it is. But later that night the stone begings to light up. Taking control of one mind at a time. The stone is teaching the tribe how to survive. It is also sifting through the tribe to find the fittest. The fittest is clearly Moon watcher.
Moon Watcher is learning the fastest and shows the most cordination. The next day Moon Watcher and his tribe go down to the stream. His tribe is no longer huingry all the time because this stone from outer space has taught them how to hunt. Thus, making them the stringest tribe. The other tribes are all dying out but Moon Watchers is thriving. This book so far is very interesting. It is showing the growing of man in a science fiction kind of way.

Sherlock Holmes

The movie Sherlock Holmes is a very intense movie. The setting i could assume is London in the late1800's early 1900's. This is a movie i would consider it to be an action and mystery film. There is a lot of action when they are on the job. Which mainly end up with fist fight, gun shots, people getting killed. Holmes has a perticular sense of awarness and is very atentive. This helps him look deeper into the suspects.
Watson on the other hand is more reserved. He has a more technical aproach. These two together work like a well oiled machine. There isnt many mysteries they cant solve. In the movie they are assigned to solve the case of lord Blackwell. He knows how to use magic. Holmes has a lot against him on this one. So far it is a good movie and it should only get better. I am excited to see the end.

Response to The Curious incident of the dog in the night-time

The Curious incident of the dog in the night-time was a good read. I really like how Christopher took a lot of his quests on by himself. He branched out from his father and his mother. It was not his fault about his Mother though. I did not like that his Father deceieved him into thinking that his mother died of a heart problem. He should had just told Christopher the truth from the beginning.

Throughout the book you can really see how Christopher struggles with people socially. I understand how his Mother had such a short temper because it would be hard to deal with it day in and day out. But it was no reason to flee Swindon to escape reality. But in the end it caught up with her when Christopher made the journey to London by himself. Although he did still scream whenever he was touched throughout his trip to London, he generally kept it toigether. I did not agree with his decisoin to jump after Toby on to the train tracks when a train was coming in.

When Christopher reached London i was actually suprised on how well his mother reacted to his presence. She really treated him very well. When they came back from London i was happy when his Father said she couldnt move back in. I wouldnt let someone who cheated on me back in my house.

It was very shocking to find out that Christopher's Father actually killed Wellington. I did not see that coming at all. This book did a very good job of suprising me and giving me things i did not expect was going to happen. His Father did a good job by starting a new "project" with Christopher. When he bought him that dog it showed Christopher that his Father cared.

Overall this book is a very interestiong and good read. I would without a doubt reccomend it to another to read. For the time you are reading it you are seing what life is life through someone who has Aspergers syndrome. It was never boring and always kept me thinking about what was going to happen next. I would have never expected at the begginging of the book that Christopher would accomplish so much. I cant stress the fact enough that this book always had moments that i did not see coming. It helped me keep an interest in the book.

What if....

What if there was a zombie apocalypse. How would you survive. But first off lets get the circumstances correct. If the zombies walk or run. or can they smell you from a mile away. I would prefer that they walked and they couldnt smell. But i have no clue what could be thrown at us. The first thing i would do is find a weapon. So i can survive for a little. Then i will hopefully meet up with some buddies of mine.

After we meet up we will search for a safe spot to set up camp.(most likely the big m) This will hopefully give us enough saftey for the time being. At this time we will most likely al;ready have lost most of our group, but what did you expect was going to happen. Chances are that most of us will not survive the first 24 hours of the outbreak.
